• So many things! We are the only dedicated dog swimming pool in the Richmond area. Our small but mighty team is made up of compassionate, caring people who treat your pup like their own. You can read more about what sets us apart here.

  • Swimming has been shown to support cardiovascular health, support achy joints with gentle movement and can be beneficial after surgery.

Always check with your trusted vet!

  • Yes! We try to make this experience as positive and fun as possible! The pool room is a calm, controlled environment and the warm water is quite inviting. We have many dogs who historically hated the water, but after working with our staff, are now swimming machines. We realize each dog is an individual, and our staff tailors the assisted swims to your dog, moving as slowly or as quickly as your pup needs.

  • Puppies can start once they have finished their Parvo/distemper vaccine series. Once their rabies vaccine is completed, please provide us with a copy of their rabies certificate.

  • According to the North America Diving Dogs rulebook, dogs can begin competing at 6 months of age. However, many veterinarians strongly suggest waiting until your dog is at least 14 months old and growth plates have closed. This age may also vary depending on breed and health condition.

  • Your dog’s surgeon and/or veterinarian will determine when your dog is cleared to swim. Hydrotherapy is part of many rehabilitation plans, but the final decision needs to be made by your veterinarian.

  • Usually! Once we take the weight and impact off of their joints, most dogs will paddle to the best of their ability. Assisted swims allow our trainers to support your dog in the water and help determine whether swimming would be an appropriate activity. Always check with your vet before starting any new activities.

  • While your dog will never be swimming with unfamiliar dogs, you are welcome to bring your whole furry family! If you have a group of newbies, we recommend starting in groups of 2-3 or booking an hour (depending on their dynamic and needs), as several new swimmers in a short period can be a little chaotic.

Our pricing remains the same for up to 4 dogs from the same household. More information on our group pricing can be found here.

  • Absolutely NOT. We accept dogs of all breeds, sizes and temperaments. If you have any concerns, please reach out to us.

  • Our insurance policy strictly prohibits owners from getting in the pools. Don’t worry, our team is trained and happy to assist your pup in the pool!

  • Nope! We’ve got Personal Floatation Devices (PFD) of all sizes available for use. If your dog has its own vest but frequently swims in lakes, rivers, oceans, etc, please sanitize it properly or opt to use one of ours. We like to avoid introducing other water sources to our pools.

  • Our indoor pools are maintained between 82-85 degrees.

  • Female dogs in heat will not be allowed to swim until their season has finished.
